Mounties are investigating after two people were injured in a shooting Friday night in Richmond.
The incident happened at about 7:30 p.m. in the 9000 block of Capstan Way. Police say two people were injured and have been taken to hospital.
Investigators believe the shooting was targeted.
Richmond RCMP is asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the shooting to call investigators at 604-278-1212.
This is the second targeted shooting in Richmond in the last 24 hours and the sixth in the Lower Mainland since Monday.
Just after 5 a.m. Friday, Langley RCMP found a 29-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound at 212 Street and 42 Avenue. A second man, 35, appeared to have been assaulted. Both were taken to hospital.
On Thursday, at about 11:35 p.m., Richmond RCMP responded to a gas station near No. 3 Road and Blundell Road following reports that the occupants of two vehicles were shooting at one another. The vehicles, one white and one black, sped away from the scene before police arrived.
