RCMP investigating after Chilliwack man died in two-vehicle crash

RCMP are investigating a two-vehicle collision in which one man died.

The collision occurred at about 6:30 p.m. between a southbound vehicle and an eastbound vehicle on Sept. 20 on Prest Road in Chilliwack.

RCMP said in a news release that a 34-year-old Chilliwack man died at the scene from injuries.

A 26-year old Chilliwack woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

The occupants of the southbound vehicle received minor injuries during the collision.

Investigators are reaching out to motorists and pedestrians who witnessed, or may have video leading up to, the crash to contact the Chilliwack RCMP, said Cpl. Mike Rail.

Chilliwack RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are investigating and asking anyone with information can contact 604-792-4611 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
