Mejuri unveils new men's jewelry line

“Conventional social classifications are dissipating and we knew the time was right to create an environment to explore easy, everyday, exceptionally crafted fine jewelry items for men,” Sakkijha said via email. “This might be a man making his first foray into jewelry, or an existing customer buying for a friend or partner. What we do know about this moment is that fashion has gone back to basics and jewelry can be the differentiator, for every gender.”

Though, Sakkijha admits a collection of this kind has been a regular request from the fine-jewelry brand’s customer base for quite some time.

“It was a natural extension for us to introduce a men’s line, we’ve had many inquiries over the years from our community asking if it’s something we would ever explore,” Sakkijha says. “In our retail stores we have seen men self-purchasing jewelry from our main line, so we wanted to ensure everyone had a piece of jewelry that suited their everyday style.”

The new collection is set to go on presale Sept.23 with a full release on Mejuri.com and in retail stores planned for Oct. 5. Priced from $125-$950, the collection includes cuffs and rings crafted from sterling silver and titanium, as well as a 14-karat, solid gold chain. This particular piece, Sakkijha expects will be a popular choice, pointing to the prevalence of gold chains worn by characters such as Connell (actor Paul Mescal) in the show Normal People as a main motivator.

“Definitely our chains,” Sakkijha confirms.
