Bands set to play at outdoor fundraiser in Gilpin

A fundraiser to support the Leechburg Pink Day event,“Lingrow Goes Pink,”will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Lingrow Farm, 188 Forks Church Road, Gilpin.

Bands scheduled to perform include Sour Mash, Lenny Collini 4 Pack, Steel Mill Rising, First Light and Pat & Dave.

There will be food, beverages and raffles. Admission is $10. Bring a lawn chair. Face masks required indoors.

Acoustic concert planned Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church

Trinity United Methodist Church, Brackenridge, will host an outdoor concert from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the church, 847 10th Ave.

Acoustic music will be performed by John Vento, Cherylann Hawk, Bob Zigerelli, Tim Hadley and Phil Vento.

Donations will be accepted.

Used Halloween costume drive underway

Redemption Church in Lower Burrell is collecting new and gently-used children’s Halloween costumes through Oct. 4 for an upcoming kid’s costume exchange.

Today: A Kona Ice fundraiser to benefit Kiddies’ Korner Nursery School will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the school, 616 First St. Ext. Raffle tickets will be sold for a children’s activity basket.

Buffalo Township

Saturday: The Piecers Quilt Group of Holy Martyrs Parish will have a yard sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 204 Elbrook Drive., Natrona Heights. Items will include handmade fall and winter decorations, Steeler items, tea towels, hot pads, scrubbies and face masks for children and adults. Fabric donations will be accepted. The group makes quilts for the homeless.

Saturday: Community Library of Allegheny Valley will host a Customer Appreciation Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the library, 1522 Broadview Blvd., Natrona Heights. Stop in the lobby for a free snack and free book. Details: 724-226-3491

Saturday: Burrellton Garden Club will have a fall plant sale from 9 to 1 p.m. at the Lower Burrell Farmers Market, 2800 Bethel St. Items will include mums in a variety of colors, pansies in baskets and flats and ornamental kale.
